I was introduced to Irreverent Warriors in 2022. I have a dear friend that I knew was new to Boise.  She also knew that Boise’s first hike was happening soon. She hit me up and told me I should check out IW Silkies Hikes.  After looking in to the organization, and convincing a couple guys from work to go with me, I attended Boise’s first hike.
I am a bit of an introvert, so I didn’t talk to too many people my first hike.  At the end of the event, I introduced myself to the LC, told him how much fun it was, and that I’d like to help in the future.
Fast forward three years, I’ve attended hikes at two other cities this year, with a third coming at Key West in 2024, and I am currently taking over as Boise’s LC.
Needless to say, I have come out of my shell and met lots of amazing people in the last three years. I am looking forward to taking over the Boise hike and doing all I can to keep growing in the community!
