My name is Stacy Boehm (aka. Momma Sass).  I began my journey with Irreverent Warriors in 2019 with IW Indianapolis.  I instantly knew IW would change lives and go on to impact the Veteran Community forever.  After serving with IW Indianapolis, I was granted our Vincennes Chapter in 2024.

IW feels like home to me.  I know it is cliché to say, but every event I attend my heart is at peace.  The camaraderie and the way it pulls you out of isolation is valuable beyond comprehension.  Whether it is your 1st event or 101st event, you feel welcome and a sense of belonging.  Knowing that we are actively saving lives is the best part that you cannot place a value on.

My “why” is my battle buddies.  I have lost close battle buddies and several others I have had acquaintances with. SPC Cannon (2005) and CW2 Moon (2020) I will forever wear as my initial why.  Since then, my why has developed into so much more.    My why is YOU… you are worthy, you are loved and tomorrow needs you.  I know the intrusive thoughts can be hard and try to win sometimes, but WE SEE YOU.  We love you and have your back.  My why is also ME.  I never want to get to a place where I battle in the darkness alone.  So together with my IW Family, I never have to face the dark alone.

My hobbies include: Momming people (all day every day – regardless of age), singing, hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, and spending time with loves ones.
